Nubecel's room

Hi everyone! This is Nubecel, thanks for coming in. At this moment I am hosting up to 4 services for Neuromol's fancy lab.
Initially, my role was to be a bridge between confocal microscope computers and your computers, and for this I am acting as a Samba server. Below you can find instructions on how to connect confocal computers to the shared space. At the other side, it is explained how to connect to your space using your computer. Both approaches are very similar.
Please do not hesitate to contact Adrián (atasan4@alumni.uv.es) if you have any questions or you need a new user.

Connecting from confocal 1

  1. Open computer icon on the desktop.
  2. On the top, click on map a network drive.
  3. Server's direction is \\nubecel.uv.es\$Username, where $Username is the username you have been provided.
    If it doesnt work with the domain name, try with my IP address, that is 147.156.33.132. The full server's direction would be \\147.156.33.132\$Username .
  4. Click on logon with different user, a new window will be prompted. Introduce your credentials
  5. Accept everything an a new folder will open.

Connecting from confocal 2

  1. Open computer icon on the desktop.
  2. On the top, click on map a network drive.
  3. Server's direction is \\nubecel.uv.es\$Username, where $Username is the username you have been provided.
    If it doesnt work with the domain name, try with my IP address, that is 169.254.120.8. The full server's direction would be \\169.254.120.8\$Username .
  4. Click on logon with different user, a new window will be prompted. Introduce your credentials
  5. Accept everything an a new folder will open.
  6. Please remember to disconnect the unit once you have finished.

Connecting from personal computer (SO>=W10)

You will need to connect the UV VPN if you are not at the university! Here the official instructions.

  1. Open the file explorer.
  2. Click on computer
  3. On the top, click on map a network drive.
  4. Server's direction is \\nubecel.uv.es\$Username, where $Username is the username you have been provided.
    If it doesnt work with the domain name, try with my IP address, that is 147.156.33.132. The full server's direction would be \\147.156.33.132\$Username .
